Who will be the next Raceboard World Champion?

Aleksandra Blinnikka in women and Joao Rodrigues in men have taken the lead after three races on the first day of the Raceboard World Championships.
• Finland dominates the female category with with 3 first places in the three first races.
• Joao is leading in the men, but Curro Manchon from Spain trails by just three points. 
• The first day of the World Championships was dominated by the sun with the wind starting off at 10 knots, but weakening as the day progressed.

Blanes June 26, 2018. - Finally 73 sailors (65 men and 8 women) from 13 countries have started the Raceboard World Championships in Costa Brava. The conditions allowed the Race Committee to go ahead according to schedule with 10 knots of easterly wind making it a pleasant start to the competition. Not too weak, not too strong, the wind was just right for the first race of the Worlds. 

At 4:00 p.m. racing came to an end with Aleksandra Blinnikka dominating absolutely every race in the women's category, while Portuguese Joao Rodrigues won two of the first three races. Surprisingly a Youth sailor Fernando Gonzalez de la Madrid triumphed in the third. Beating the more experienced sailors on a smaller sail. 

It is still all open as 15 races are scheduled for the event and two discards will be available for the competitors. 

Tomorrow we start at 10:00 with a skippers meeting, 10:30 is the meteo meeting and hope to be on the water by 12:00.
